Design

Within our industry-leading design department, we can offer designs drawn with 3D CAD software and with integrated analysis software we can determine the best way to work with a design brief. Once 3D models have been produced, we can provide you with technical drawings for you to review.

In the design phase, there are 3 paths to consider. The criteria for each are determined by what you require from us and also what information and detail you can provide. The paths are shown below - click on each one to see more information.

Our Tiered Design Process

Start Point

Basic Brief Click for More Information

Actions:

Our sales team will create a job request form from the brief supplied.

Parameters:

Physical parameters such as contents, volumes and sizes.
Customer and consumer processes such as cooking, freezing or any storage & supply chain conditions.
Additional factory processing such as heat sealing, flow wrapping etc.
Any mating parts such as card sleeves, labels etc.

2 Days

PDF Drawing

Outputs:

From a basic brief, a technical drawing can be produced of the product.
This drawing will be sent to the customer for approval before continuing to the next process.

Creative Brief Click for More Information

Actions:

Our sales team will create a job request form from the brief supplied.

Parameters:

The brief this may contain limited information on specific parameters of the product and contents.
Using our design knowledge we will fill in the gaps of the brief.
Creative briefs give us more freedom with the design.

4 Days

PDF Drawing / Powerpoint Slides

Outputs:

From a creative brief, along with a technical drawing if requested, you can also receive rendered images of the design proposals.
These images and technical drawing will be sent to the customer for approval before continuing to the next process.

Blue Sky Brief Click for More Information

Actions:

In this instance rather than receiving a detailed brief we may receive an email giving some guidelines on the outcome of the project.

Parameters:

Blue sky briefs contain few limitations if any within the design constraints.
We can start with as little information as the sector from within the products are required for.
Research will be undertaken, looking at: our customers/market sector/ market research. We will also look at past, present and future trends.

2 Weeks

Full Presentation

Outputs:

From a blue sky brief, an annotated presentation with high quality rendered images will be produced, detailing the thought process and rational behind the design ideas.
